Our Story
It started with a trip to Vancouver Island.
I'd just spent an amazing week surfing, camping, and hiking with a friend. On the drive back from Tofino, we started making a list of things I could do with my life.
I knew I didn't want to spend the next 40 years sitting behind a screen. I wanted to build something of my own, meet people, and have the freedom to head to the mountains on a sunny Tuesday.
We wrote down all kinds of ideas. Selling surfboards was one of them, despite the fact that I'd only surfed for the first time that week.
Socks also made the list.
On the flight home, I looked over our ideas again. Socks just made sense. I'd spent most of my life running, hiking, and camping, and I've always loved making things.
I spent the rest of the flight planning TRAKK.
Really good socks. With a little more meaning.
I've run half marathons, trail races, and spent some very long days hiking. I know how much a bad pair of socks can ruin a good day outside.
So I set out to make really nice merino wool socks that feel good, fit well, and are made for everything from long days on the trail to everyday wear.
But I also wanted them to mean something.
TRAKK's designs are inspired by Alberta, the place I call home. From the lakes of Elk Island to the Northern Lights and the Rockies, each design draws from the places and sights that make me love getting outside.
The artwork is knit right into the fabric, not printed on.
I hope that when you pull on a pair of TRAKK socks, they remind you of a place you love, an adventure you've had, or one you're looking forward to.
Meet the CEO.
Jack is my orange cat and a big part of what inspired TRAKK.
He's curious, outgoing, and has never once questioned whether he's capable of doing something.
He once jumped straight into a lake trying to catch a dragonfly. He hadn't thought through the landing, but he swam back to shore, dried himself off, and carried on.
That's Jack. He goes for it and figures out the rest along the way.
I think we could all stand to be a little more like him.

TRAKK is for people who love getting outside, doing hard things, trying something new, and having fun along the way.
Run the race. Climb the mountain. Go for a walk just because it's nice out.
Things won't always go to plan, and you don't need to have everything figured out before you start. That's part of the adventure.
We take making good socks very seriously. Ourselves? Considerably less seriously.
